GOVERNING COUNCIL

Functions of Governing Council:

• As a statutory body responsible for the academic, financial and administrative affairs of the institute, it will overview the educational, research and extension programmes and give direction and focus so that these programmes be continued at a high level of quality thereby enabling the institute to attain and maintain excellence.
• It can delegate any of its powers to its chairman or to the member Secretary
• It shall have the authority to accept endowments for specific purposes and institute scholarships, prizes, etc.

Functions of the College Academic Council:

• Sanctions and approvals of the proposals with or without modifications of the Boards of Studies with regard to Course of Study, Academic Regulations, Curriculum, Syllabi and Evaluation arrangements.
• Frame regulations for conduct of Exams, for upgrading quality of teaching and evaluation.
• Make regulations for Sports and Extra-curricular activities.
• Approve candidates for conferment of Degrees/Diplomas by the University.
• Recommend to the University for Institution of Schloarships/ Gold Medals and to frame regulations for the award of the same.
